Waltz of the Waves

By Minahil Mehr

One step high, one step right, and down again and step back,

Raised to the night’s sky to the starlight black.

One then another, and then all together,

The spotlight the moon, the ballad the weather.

The full moon so bright, high up in all the darkness,

From beneath the nightfall doth emerge the night stars so beautiful in each dress.

The ballads, the lights, and with it of all kind sounds,

Raised high up and then with majestic wings lands on grounds.

Her ocean’s waves so graceful indeed,

The night and the moon are all she doth need.

The ambient breeze and silent night,

The glittering dresses and the soul spotlight.

A ballad, a rhythm, a waltz of such grace,

The waltz of the waves are for all to embrace.
