Fruit of Forgetfulness
A Poem by Willow Kang
The tangerine tree wilts
& we are witless purveyors,
shamans of a bestial sort
let the wailing foolish fires go-
without desires they are futile souls
Leonard Siffleet, that dear retainer
of transient victors clutching ketamine
to revel,
to forget the reveling
May the Lethe consume us all,
man & beast
leave none that remember
the dirt trails to shattered laurel
which crystalline fortunes plagued us then
