Reality, The King of The Universe

A Poem By Minahil Mehr and Aydin Khan

"Through this poem we aim to convey how some forces, such as reality, are simply ones that are best left unmeddled with, which is inspired by the same message conveyed through the tale of Pandora's box. -Minahil

This poem aims to convey the idea that reality is a powerful force that we deal with everyday, solidifying itself as the decider of fates, both good and evil, while still existing as something to live for. -Aydin"

An agent that controls, governs, and brings forth,

Unpredictable events, ways to meddle with our thoughts.

A balance of success and failure, victory, and defeat,

A way of rendering luck obsolete.

Where all rivers merge into a single ocean,

Where the sun sets and rises, like a beacon of light and hope.

Tis what holds the universe together, the world’s strongest rope,

A manifestation of power that we are forced to grope.

Such a power we cannot defy, cannot fight,

Only exists to shine ever so bright.

A power that will always protect those pure of heart,

And to punish those with intentions dark.

The decider of all things, including fate,

Reality, the king of the universe, is a power too extravagant to hate.
